Sewing Birthday Parties

Zipper Pouch PACKAGES & PRICING

All parties are for children ages 6 and up, The ages of everyone will affect the complexity of the zipper pouch.
Party will be decorated with our decorations. If you want to bring your own themed décor you can come 15 minutes early to decorate. Please let us know this in advance. Any outside vendors must be approved in advance.
All parties are 2.5 hours.
30 minutes is dedicated to birthday desert/drink that are provided by you.
Everyone will use the same fabric picked out ahead of time by the birthday girl/ boy. If you would like everyone to pick their own fabric, please see the design add on.
Due to limited space and our retail store being open the party is limited to the party guests and immediate family members. The group of children can be dropped off as well.
All fees are due at time of booking

Small Birthday Party Package (Up to 4 people) - $225 – 1 teacher

Medium Birthday Party Package (5-8 people) - $275 -2 teachers

Large Birthday Party Package (9-12 people)- $350 -3 teachers

Theme Party ADD-ONS: each add on is an additional $25 fee.

SLEEPOVER THEME ADD-ON – Instead of a zipper pouch everyone will make a pillowcase and eye mask. This fabric will be chosen by the birthday girl/boy ahead of time. | Add $25 to any basic package

DESIGN THEME ADD-ON – Every child will pick their fabric for the zipper pouch. There will also be time to learn the machine. There will not be time for food/drink with this add on. | Add $25 to any basic package.

Private Parties

Get everyone together and have a fun night sewing! – NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

4-8 people – 2 hours – $40 a person

*included fabric and supplies to make a zipper pouch
This is not like a private lesson. These are set up for people that just want to have a fun night sewing. Most cutting and directions are done for them by instructors.

No experience needed. Invite friends, co-workers, family or neighbors. We will provide machines unless you have your own. BYOB- bring beverages and snacks for a fun social night at Five Eighth Seams

Private Lessons

1 on 1 private $55/ hour

semi private (2-3 people) $30/ hour per person

If you have a group 4 or more, it will be treated like a class and $14.00 per person per hour. Classes that are lecture heavy and not projects like Just the basics is $15 an hour. Private lessons are different then private parties as they do not provide fabric or materials for the lesson.

Upcoming Classes

Free Open Sew

Cost: $ Free

Open sew is a great time to get things done and have fun with others in the sewing community. There is NO instruction during open sew, just use of the space. Discounted machine rental fees apply unless you have already rented a machine for class and open sew is during/after the duration of your class. Drop in at any time.

*Just the Basics - Adults

Cost: $ 30

The class is perfect for anyone interested in learning how to sew, have never had formal instruction, or are new to machine sewing. This class is for adults (18+).

Embroidery BOOT CAMP

Cost: $ 30

New to embroidery and not quite sure where to begin? What is the right way to hoop? What stabilizer do you use for different fabrics and types of embroidery? What about monogramming? As I like to say, if it is not moving you can monogram it. Michelle will answer these questions and more. This a lecture class, no supplies needed.

Sewing 202: Intro to Pants

Cost: $ 70

Worried about sewing pants? In Sewing 202 students will be making a pair of pants from a selection of patterns at Five Eighth Seams. This class focuses on construction not fitting. This is an adult (18+) only class.
