Christmas Tree Skirt with Piping
Make your own Christmas tree skirt in this beginner, three-week class! This circular tree skirt is reversible and approximately 42" across. It will feature piping and ties to close the back.
Materials Required:
- 1 1/4 yards of main fabric
- 1 1/4 yards of back fabric
- 1 package of crib sized batting
- 6 yards of 1/4" cording
- 3/4 yard of fabric for piping
- 1 1/2 yards of DOUBLE FOLD bias tape, pom poms, ribbon, or other material for ties
- Coordinating thread (to match piping fabric and main fabric)
When choosing fabric, it is best to select a non directional print. The fabric needs to be 42-44" wide.
In addition to the above materials, you will need to bring a rotary cutter, a ruler, a tape measure, your sewing machine, a zipper/piping foot, and general sewing supplies. If you own Wonder Clips, please bring those.
