Sewing 201

Students must have taken SEWING 101 or have instructor approval to take this class. In this class, students will build upon skills learned in Sewing 101 and learn new techniques to further refine their sewing skills.
Students are free to choose their own garment patterns for this class, but materials should be bought at Five Eighth Seams. Students are encouraged to try patterns with new techniques such as zippers, darts, princess seams, buttonholes, minor pattern adjustments, and more!
Materials needed:
- sewing pattern
- appropriate amount and type of fabric according to pattern
- notions needed for pattern
- coordinating thread
- sewing machine, (with power cord, foot pedal, and assorted accessories
- standards sewing supplies (scissors, pins, marking tools, measuring tape, seam ripper, etc.)
This is a three week class. If you do not do homework, you may need multiple rounds to complete your project.
