Sewing 201 (6 hours)
Students must have taken Sewing 101 or have prior sewing experience.
Students are free to choose their own garment patterns for this class, but materials should be bought at Five Eighth Seams. Students are encouraged to try patterns with techniques they have not tried yet such as zippers, darts, princess seams, buttonholes, pattern adjustments, collars, sleeves, and more!
Materials needed:
- sewing pattern
- appropriate amount and type of fabric according to pattern
- notions needed for pattern
- coordinating thread
- sewing machine, (with power cord, foot pedal, and assorted accessories)
- standard sewing supplies (scissors, pins, marking tools, measuring tape, seam ripper, etc.)
This is a three week class. If you do not do homework, you may need multiple rounds to complete your project.
