Fashion School 101- Accelerated Intensive
This is a foundational class for ambitious sewers. Class level- Intermediate. Ages- 12 and up. Must
know how to thread a machine and fill a bobbin.
In this class, students will learn sewing skills needed to create what their heart desires. This class will
focus on only woven fabrics. Students will build a portfolio of samples, demonstrating the mastering
of each skill. Classes are meant to build confidence and give students the freedom to go forth and
make anything! Students will practice skills by sewing muslin samples. Each student will write out the
steps for each technique and keep their work in a beautiful binder for future reference. Students should
expect to have home work. The class covers a lot of techniques over 5 sessions. During the last
session, students will learn how to read a commercial pattern and will be set free to use their new skills
to create a simple project.
