T-Shirt Quilt Class
If your squares are larger than 12”, please add to the fabric requirements below.
16- 30 t-shirts
- 2 yards of fabric for sashing (can be purchased at Five Eighth Seams)
- ½ yard of fabric for cornerstones (optional) (can be purchased at Five Eighth Seams)
- 2 yards of fabric for borders (optional) (can be purchased at Five Eighth Seams)
- A minimum of 4 yards of fabric for backing; you can select this as well as batting once you
- decide which size you would like and what quilter you want to use
- ½ yard for binding; you can select this and the backing once you decide which size you would
- like
Sewing supplies: (all can be purchased at Five Eighth Seams, shop local!)
Sewing machine and accessories
The ¼” foot for your machine (this is not required but strongly encouraged)
Neutral thread
Fabric Scissors
Rotary cutter
22” or longer ruler
Pressing cloth: this is for pressing the t-shirts so that the design does not melt off; this can be a
large piece of scrap fabric or muslin
