Sewing 102: Sewing with Knits
Learn the basics of sewing with knits! This class is designed for beginner sewers with focus on construction, not fit. Patterns students may choose from include but are not limited to the Linden Sweatshirt, the Hudson Pants, Lodo Dress, and the Ebony Shirt/dress. We also have an extensive collection of Jalie patterns and Style Arc patterns, many of which are knit and beginner friendly. Please visit Five Eighth Seams for more options.
Supplies:
- Pattern (any beginner/intermediate knit pattern from Five Eighth Seams)
- Knit Fabric (Medium weight to heavy weight, NO lightweight/rayon blend knits)
- General sewing supplies (i.e. pins, scissors, marking tools, etc.) these supplies should be brought every week
- Sewing machine (If you don't have one, you can rent one! The machine rental fee is $25 and covers the three weeks of the class)
- Ballpoint Needles
- Matching Thread
- Any notions according to the chosen pattern.
