Jelly Roll Rug Placemats

Create a beautiful quilted placemat using the popular Jelly Roll Rug pattern by R.J. Designs — just scaled down for a fun, fast, and functional project! This class is a great way to learn the Jelly Roll Rug construction method without committing to a full rug.
Students will use a jelly roll and Bosal batting roll to create a 13" x 19" placemat, learning the techniques needed to continue making rugs or additional placemats at home.
In the first session, we’ll focus on fabric selection, layout, cutting, and beginning construction. In the second session, we’ll complete the placemat, learning how to shape, stitch, and finish the project cleanly.
