3 yard Quilt Class
Beginner Quilt Class - Learn the basic of quilting: cutting, seam allowance, binding, etc. You will make a 3 yard quilt from an Elizabeth Hartman book. The book/ pattern will come with the class. The focus of the class is on completing the quilt top. This class is for adults only (18+).

Getaway Quilt and Homecoming Quilt
Fancy a summer Getaway from the comfort of your sewing machine? Choose between a City Trip, Mountain Trip, or Beach Trip Getaway. This pattern is a "choose your own adventure", where simple blocks turn around to make three striking quilts. Perhaps all you can think about is coming home when you're on a trip; Homecoming might be the pattern for you. Choose between a multicolor or monochromatic accent to match whatever style home is for you! The Getaway pattern OR Homecoming by Lo and Behold Stitchery is included in the class fee.

This class is for all skill levels, and is designed to use 2.5" strips. We will be using quilt patterns from "Jelly Filled" by Vanessa Goertzen. The book is included in the class fee, and all supplies purchased for the class are 20% off. This is a great class for students who have done our 3-yard quilt classes and are looking to make a more complex quilt, or students who are looking to make their first quilt.

This beginner-friendly class uses patterns from the book "Urban Quilting: Quilt Patterns for the Modern-Day Home" by Wendy Chow. In this class, you can make an eye-catching, modern quilt in a range of sizes while learning various techniques.

Private Parties
Get everyone together and have a fun night sewing! – NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
4-8 people – 2 hours – $40 a person
*included fabric and supplies to make a zipper pouch
This is not like a private lesson. These are set up for people that just want to have a fun night sewing. Most cutting and directions are done for them by instructors.
No experience needed. Invite friends, co-workers, family or neighbors. We will provide machines unless you have your own. BYOB- bring beverages and snacks for a fun social night at Five Eighth Seams
Private Lessons
1 on 1 private $55/ hour
semi-private (2-3 people) $30/ hour per person
If you have a group of 4 or more, it will be treated like a class, which is $14.00 per person per hour. Classes that are lecture heavy and not projects like Just the Basics are $15 an hour. Private lessons are different then private parties as they do not provide fabric or materials for the lesson.
