Class Description: This class is a follow up to the t-shirt prep class. You will use the already prepared t-
shirt squares to make a quilt top using only the examples provided in the prep class. You are able to use
up to 30 t-shirts for this quilt top. These shirts can be 12x12 or 14x14. We will utilize 2 ½ “sashing.
Cornerstones and a border are optional and utilization of both are provided in the examples. If you
would like to add a border, calculate the fabric required for a 4 ½ “ (Width of Fabric) border. All fabric
and interfacing are to be purchased at Five Eighth Seams. Pre-requisites for this class are Sewing 101
and the T-Shirt Prep Class.

If your squares are larger than 12”, please add to the fabric requirements below.
16- 30 t-shirts already prepared as squares; we will not do any preparation of t-shirt blocks in
2 yards of fabric for sashing
½ yard of fabric for cornerstones (optional)
2 yards of fabric for borders (optional)
A minimum of 4 yards of fabric for backing; you can select this as well as batting once you
decide which size you would like and what quilter you want to use

The ¼” foot for your machine (this is not required but strongly encouraged)
22” or longer ruler
Pressing cloth: this is for pressing the t-shirts so that the design does not melt off; this can be a
large piece of scrap fabric or muslin
